Hello, friends!

When Julie booked with us, she mentioned we’d actually lived on the same street years back. That small-world moment felt serendipitous. But what really moved me was learning why she’d come.

Julie had been through an incredibly difficult season after failed fertility treatments. The physical and mental toll left her struggling to recognize herself in the mirror. That’s something so many of us experience but rarely say out loud.

What struck me most was her next move. Instead of letting that season define her, Julie decided to redirect her energy toward herself. She got healthier, stronger, and started learning to love her body again—not despite what it had endured, but because she was finally honoring it. That kind of resilience deserves celebration, and a boudoir session felt like the perfect way.

When someone shows up with that kind of intentionality, you feel it. There’s a specific energy that shifts when someone is finally seeing themselves with kindness. Justin and I could tell Julie wasn’t just here for pretty pictures—she was here to see herself differently. That’s when the real magic happens.

What we captured that day reflects something beautiful: a woman who’s chosen herself. Since the shoot, Julie has looked at her images at least five times a day. She told us the entire experience felt natural, comfortable, and empowering. But here’s what matters most—she’s finally seeing herself the way we saw her all along.

If you’re reading this and you’re nervous about boudoir, if you’re coming out of a hard season, if you’re learning to love yourself again—this is for you. It’s not about fitting into anyone’s mold. It’s about seeing yourself, really seeing yourself, maybe for the first time in a long time. It’s about being held gently while you learn that you’re worthy of celebration.

Julie’s story is one of many we’ve been honored to witness—stories of women choosing themselves. If that resonates with you, we’d love to create that experience together. Reach out and let’s talk about your session. Whether it’s a DM, email, or coffee conversation, we’re here to help you see yourself the way we do.
