My Boudoir Photography Experience with Elevation Boudoir

For a while now, my friend has been talking me into trying to get boudoir pictures made. So whenever Elevation Boudoir does some kind of special, she sends me the link and tells me to sign up. I said, ok, I will. I did this past summer for their summer special give away and was chosen one day. When Rachel called me and told me, I told her, sure, I couldn’t turn this down. It’s something I haven’t done before, and plus I love my friend’s pictures; they are so amazing looking!

So as time got closer, I won’t lie, I was nervous about it because I am a bigger girl, and I don’t always have the best self-confidence in my body. But I said to myself, I am going to do this. Rachel made sure to send emails to prepare me and to give ideas about what to wear and others dos and don’ts. With that, I found some outfits that made me comfortable.

When I showed up for my session, Rachel and Justin greeted me with open arms, and they made sure to make the session all about me. As Rachel did my hair and make up, we all 3 sat around and just talked. It was nice and relaxing to have my makeup done for me, along with my hair. This is something I don’t get to have done often, and it made me feel like a queen.

As it was time for outfits and pictures, Rachel was so supportive! She made me feel really good about myself. As we started the pictures, Justin warned me that some poses may not make sense but to go along with it. I was game and they were very flexible and willing to work with me. They knew that I didn’t want to show as much as others, and they got it just right! The session flew by so much quicker than I expected because I was having so much fun, along with having a great time laughing.

When it became time for the pictures to be revealed, I was nervous yet really amazed! The lighting of the pictures were stunning, and Justin was able to get some great shots! Rachel also did a great job at posing and setting the pictures up. I had no clue what they would look like when taking them, but I was amazed in the end. When it came down to deciding what pictures to get, it was really hard to decide! These pictures and process definitely increased my confidence about myself, and yet my husband loves the photos and notices it, too! I will for sure be back again!
