“Hey Rachel! I have been shopping!”

That’s how this session started — a message, months before session day. Jessica had found a pearl bra set, fallen in love with it on sight, and wanted to know one thing: would it look ok on camera?
It shoots beautifully. I knew because another client — a woman Jessica will never meet and will never know by name — had worn the same set, and her images were stunning. She’d given anonymous permission to share, so I sent Jessica a few frames to show her what the pearls could do.
And here’s my favorite part. In those photos, that client had paired her pearls with jeans. Jessica saw them and messaged me: “Should I bring jeans? I love the photo with the jeans!”
Bring a pair or two, I told her.

So look closely at this gallery, because you’re not just seeing Jessica. You’re seeing a look that one woman started and another carried forward — a little relay of inspiration passed between two strangers through my phone. Somewhere down the line, a future client is going to see THESE images and message me about pearls. That’s how it works around here.
There’s a reason you haven’t seen most of these images on our Facebook or Instagram. We post what the platforms allow, and the platforms barely allow anything. The work we’re proudest of — the editorial stuff, the skin and light and shadow stuff, the images that belong on a gallery wall — most of it never makes the feed.
That’s why this post exists. The blog is where the real work lives.

A few things worth knowing about how this came together:
This is what planning a session with us actually looks like. Not a forty-pin mood board. A few texts: “I found this — will it look ok?” and an honest answer back. Jessica messaged me about every piece she was considering (including the La Perla cami she’s had to go through lengths to get — the website crashed mid-shopping spree, which felt personal 😂), and by session day the whole look was already alive in her head.

And about that anonymous client whose photos started all this: that’s the other thing I want you to see. She shared a few images with no name attached, on her terms, and they quietly changed how another woman planned her own session. Privacy and inspiration aren’t opposites here. You decide what gets shared and how — and even “just a few, anonymously” can matter more than you’d ever guess.
That’s how the best sessions happen. You bring the spark, we build the fire.
